Repeal and Replacement of the Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate through MACRA

In April of 2015, the deeply-flawed Medicare Sustainable Growth rate was repealed and replaced through passage of the deeply-flawed Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA). ASPS was one of the few – if not the only – medical specialty societies to oppose MACRA. We are fighting to improve this policy's shortcomings as it is implemented. With the resources below, you can find out how MACRA is flawed and understand the basis of ASPS's opposition to the bill. As opportunities arise for your engagement to improve the policy, we will be sure to make those available in these web pages.
